A growing team and a new home
Undoubtedly one of the best things about startups is the amazing people you get to work with. The last few months brought several amazing people to our team.
Kevin Clark made deploying the giant systems at Powerset ridiculously easy and improved search snippets for Bing. He has also been a frequent contributor to open source projects like Thrift and Rubinius. He now brings his passion and skill for programming to Greplin. Kevin is obsessed with open source, testing, and fast iteration. We like Kevin almost as much as my dog Eva likes his dog Ada.
As CTO of Postabon (now Signpost) Shaneal Manek built a great site and a great team. He has also brought his formidable engineering skills to the world of high frequency trading where milliseconds mean millions of dollars. Now he’s managing giant data sets for Greplin, making search fast and relevant. We met Shaneal through our programming challenge - of the roughly 450 responses we received, his was the best.
Since all of us engineers get our heads stuck in code, we’re also really happy to have Kim Walker on the team to handle basically everything else. If you’ve sent us a support request over the last few months, you’ve talked to Kim. She also found us our great new office...

Since fitting all of us in Daniel’s apartment would have been tough, we decided to move to the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. It’s a beautiful office with a great view, and it’s right next to a restaurant dedicated entirely to grilled cheese sandwiches, so we’re pretty excited about it.
We’d love to have you join this fun and productive team - feel free to drop us a line at jobs@greplin.com.
